How to stand out when pitching to investors

When I was a painfully struggling entrepreneur, I believed angel investors had the power to change lives.

“𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺.”

And used to cry about angels' herd mentality.

Now, I'm on the sheep's side.

I can see how I, and the rest of the angels, want to invest in those entrepreneurs who will make it with or without us.I am drawn to those who are clear and driven.

Resourceful and independent thinkers.

Those who don't need me.

Or my money.

To the point that the force of their authenticity will make me invest in industries in which I've had zero interest before meeting them.
