Your mind vs. Your mind.

Founders often talk a lot about mindset, but not about feelings.

We’re wired to get things done and keep going.

But here’s what rarely gets talked about.

Founding a company isn't just an external journey.

It’s an emotional journey as well.

The better you get at feeling, the better you'll get at not torturing yourself.

The last thing you want to do is have a split mind pulling you in two different directions.

One part of you wants to move forward, yet the other won’t budge because it’s completely stuck.

This is something I experienced way too often as an entrepreneur.

In the short time, yes, you can overcome this with willpower.

But in the long run you’d better learn to dissipate the emotional charge that is confused and overwhelmed.

Ask yourself: “What’s really happening inside me right now?”

Not what I should feel.

Not what I want to feel.

But what is.

If you can identify it, you can work with it.

And if you can feel it, you can move through it.

Leadership isn’t just strategy and execution.

It’s also learning to sit with discomfort long enough to hear what it’s trying to teach you.
