Understand more. Assume less.

I wish I had asked more questions before I started building.

When I launched Plushkies.

I assumed I knew what my customers wanted.

I assumed I knew how to reach them.

I didn’t realise how dangerous those assumptions were until it was too late.

Here’s what I’ve learned (and re-learned):

𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭. 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬.

So here’s what I’d tell any founder right now:

✅ Talk to your potential customers 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚, you spend a dollar on development.

✅ Don’t fall in love with your idea. Fall in love with solving a real problem.

✅ Your messaging isn’t for you, it’s for the people you’re trying to reach.

✅ Keep learning, especially when things don’t go as planned.

I learned a lot. Sometimes the hard way.
But that’s what’s guiding my next move.

I hope it helps guide yours, too.

Now, tell me, what’s something you wish you had validated earlier in your journey?
